Screening: "A Towering Task - A Story of the Peace Corps"
As the Peace Corps begins to celebrate 60 years of service in 2021, the Committee for a Museum of the Peace Corps Experience (CMPCE) is jump starting this celebration by sponsoring a virtual showing of A Towering Task: The Story of the Peace Corps from September 17-30, 2020. If you missed previous showings in a theater, or were unable to attend a showing, now is the chance to see it in the comfort of your home, with friends (watching parties are encouraged). We are reaching out to you to help us promote this event. Please find attached our flyer that explains the details. Thank you.

Job Opportunities
Volunteer with online ESL
The organization, Helping Link/Mot Dau Noi works with the Vietnamese immigrant community in Seattle and is seeking volunteers to help teach online ESL classes to adults. The program is a very important part of their work to help community members integrate into the broader community, get work, and be prepared for citizenship interviews. The classes have moved completely online due to the pandemic, and several volunteers from Portland have stepped up. Please feel welcome to contact Lauren Johnson (RPCV Cameroon) if you would like to know more. The demand for the classes is very high and online classes require smaller groups, especially for the very beginning English learners. Lauren.Johnson@helpinglink.org to find out more.
